Commit
to the Grit

This came out in our company newsletter and I
wanted to share it with you.
Action at the Olympic Park Aquatics
Centre has come to a close and Michael Phelps is now the most decorated Olympian
in history as Missy Franklin and Ryan Lochte have become household names. But
how did they do it? Is it all innate talent and genetic superiority? Truth is,
they worked harder and were okay with "same old, same old." A study titled "The
Mundanity of Excellence" found that Olympic swimmers who performed best spent
the most time in the pool, swimming countless laps, practicing turns, diving off
the blocks and then doing it all again, and again and again. The conclusion:
"Grit may be as essential as talent to high accomplishment." Whatever you are
doing Commit to the Grit! Here's to your
success!
Sincerely,
Heidi Janssen
